US Visa and Immigration Photo Guides
DS-160, DS-260, the DV lottery, ESTA and USCIS forms: which photo each one needs, and when you no longer have to supply one.
US visa and immigration photos share the State Department's 2 x 2 inch standard, but each form handles the photo differently. The DS-160 asks for a square digital file, the DV lottery for a 600 x 600 pixel JPEG where a wrong photo can disqualify the entry, and many USCIS forms now take your photo at the biometrics appointment instead of asking you to supply one.
