FAQ
Before you start
No. The Passport Photo Maker is an independent company. We prepare photos according to the published requirements, but only the authority that issues your document can approve your application.
Yes. The digital file is sized and formatted for online applications. U.S. online renewal accepts JPG, PNG or HEIC files between 54 KB and 10 MB and crops the photo inside the application itself.
Not for U.S. passports: glasses have not been allowed since 2016, except with a signed medical statement. Other countries have their own rules, which we check for the document you choose.
Your photo is checked in your browser. Only when you click “Make my file” does a cropped copy go to our server, which builds your file from it without storing the copy. A file you don't buy is deleted after 24 hours. A file you buy stays available to download again for one year, then it is deleted.
Full refund within 14 days, for any reason. Rejected later for something we measure? Still refunded. The full refund terms are on our terms page.
