Taking Passport Photos at Home, for Kids and Babies
Setting up a compliant photo at home, photographing babies and toddlers, printing it, and what each option really costs.
You can take a compliant passport photo at home with a phone, a plain wall and daylight, as long as the document you are applying for accepts one. Babies and young children follow slightly relaxed rules on expression and eyes in some countries, and the setup that works best for them is different from the one for adults.
These guides walk through the setup step by step, photographing newborns and toddlers, printing a photo at a pharmacy or photo kiosk, and what a passport photo costs at each of the usual places, priced from the companies' own pages.
Before you shoot, keep the printable passport photo checklist next to you. If you make the photo here, checking it is free and you pay only if you download the file; the pricing page lists both prices.
